Marie Eleonore Luis - The Birth of a Vocation

Born on 12 September 1955 in Clarianes (PORTUGAL), where the stone is very present in many careers, where the stone pile with Life. "Daughter of a father's official cobbler and a seamstress mother and modeling I lived the early pace of creation.

Very Young, drawing with my father, is like the color, the painting, then the desire of sculpture, and around 1980 overcome, a physical need, the touch, and respect.

Join me then in Ateliê François in Paris, where he carved the stone, noble field, learn the sculpture of statues at the "point to the meter." Attended the courses and workshops of the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris and the courses of the School of Louvre.

The sculpture is an art not impulsive, it is a tedious work, long, but fascinating.

Having sometimes return to drawing and painting, the sculpture remains however my food everyday, it gives me Life, Love and Serenity in an environment of solitude and quiet interior, conducive to creativity.

Participated over the years, in various cultural events: biennial, group exhibitions, individual, among others in the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, where some of them was distinguished with several awards and received several distinctions Sculpture by my work, my work.
